I watched the newer HBO movie about Winston Churchill tonight.

There is some part of me that empathizes so strongly with the traditional British character, and I admire the strength of will particularly exhibited during World War Two.  I have a lot of online friends from the UK through a game I play, and they're all such interesting people (even the crazy ones -- and there are many crazy ones).  I can't help but wonder what the purpose of my fixation is, beyond just some kind of potluck result of genes.  I would love to become involved in British politics and become an Englishman, but alas, I am an American.  I think I would like it there, though.  I'll have to visit.  I know it's not like the movies; I'm not that naive.  Regardless, I want to go visit and see if I like it as much as I think I will.

This has been my reattempt at blogging.  I haven't yet decided if I'm going to try and make a return.  I would remind those of you on my protected list to go read my latest protected post and tell me what you think.
